A convoy of U.S. Army trucks delivers water and supplies to help extinguish a burning well at the Rumaylah Oil Fields in Southern Iraq, April 2, 2003. Coalition forces have successfully secured the southern oil fields for the economic future of the Iraqi people. The burning wells were set ablaze by the Iraqi regime at the onset of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Operation Iraqi Freedom is the multinational coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass destruction and end the regime of Saddam Hussein. Dhief Muhsen son of the Ur Temple curator, leads a member of the 402nd Civil Affairs Battalion and a member from 60 Minutes II up the temple steps April 1, 2003 at a forward deployed location in southern Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. The temple site is 6,000 years old and is the birthplace of Abram who is referenced in the bible.
